Explorer Day Camp is Kidzu’s NEW seasonal camp and is a drop-off program for kids ages 3-8. Kids can join us daily Monday through Friday from 9am-3:30pm for exhibit play, tinkering in the Makery, and themed STEAM & literacy activities.
Half and full day options available. Choose from 3 registration options:
Full Day: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, $75.00 per child
AM Only Half Day: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, $50.00 per child
PM Only Half Day: 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm, $50.00 per child
AM drop-off is from 9:00 - 9:30am, PM pick-up is from 3:00 - 3:30 pm
Please note - this program is not offered on Holidays or Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools teacher workdays when Kidzu is hosting School's Out Camps.
BEFORE YOU REGISTER - Important Information:
Children must be potty independent to attend this program. Please see Kidzu's Bathroom Independence Policy. A signed copy of Kidzu's Bathroom Independence Policy MUST be received prior to your child attending camp. To expedite camp check-in, please email your signed copy to camp@kidzuchildrensmuseum.org.
Please note that online sales for this program end at 4pm the day before the program. If you're looking to register your child for the program after that time, please call to speak with a Kidzu staff member to complete your registration at (919) 933-1455. If you would like to be added to the waitlist for a sold out date, please email mastin@kidzuchildrensmuseum.org.
Due to the drop-off nature of this program, pre-registration is highly recommended. Walk-ins are subject to availability.
Kidzu reserves the right to cancel a program date if it does not satisfy the minimum enrollment requirement. We will give as much advance notice as possible if cancellation is necessary for any reason.
There are no refunds for this program; however, you are welcome to transfer your registration to any date we currently have open for registration. Please call (919) 933-1455 or email mastin@kidzuchildrensmuseum.org to transfer your registration.
We require all children to stay home if they are feeling ill, including, but not limited to, fever, cough, shortness of breath, or any other known symptoms of COVID-19. Please remember that if your child is too sick to go to school, they are too sick to attend this program.
