Parents Night Out

Parents' Night Out @ The Nest!

*Now being held in the Preschool Wing at Binkley Baptist Church- 1712 Willow Drive Chapel Hill, NC 27514*

During these events, kids are invited to play and explore at The Nest while parents enjoy an evening out. This fun-filled night will include exhibit play & exploration, dinner from Alfredo's Pizza Villa, and a show to wind down at the end of the night. This is a drop-off (childcare) program for children ages 3-9 (must be *potty independent). Kids will have a chance to exercise their minds, bodies, imagination, and independence.

To make sure we have plenty of fun activities and yummy food ready for everyone, please sign up at least a week ahead of time. We can’t wait to see your little ones!"

While we recommend signing up at least a week in advance to ensure we have enough kids for all the fun activities and food, please note that online sales end at 4pm on the day of the program. If you're looking to register your child for the program after 4pm, please call (919) 933-1455 to speak with a staff member to complete your registration.  If you would like to be added to the waitlist for a sold-out date, please email tanya@ncchildrensmuseum.org

Please note the following details about this program:

  • Attendees must be between the ages of 3-9. This policy is firm, no exceptions.

  • Drop-off begins at 6pm. Early drop-off at 5:30pm can be added for $5.00 per child. (This applies to all participants, including members.) Pick-up is by 9pm.**

  • Members save 20% on registration for this program! Discounts are applied at checkout. Be sure you're signed in with your membership account!

  • Please bring a water bottle labeled with your child's name to this program.

  • Children are welcome to wear pajamas & bring pillows/blankets for the show.

  • Children must be potty independent to attend this program. Being potty independent means a child is able to communicate the need to go to the bathroom and complete the entire process on his or her own.  While staff supervise multiple group bathroom breaks during this program, they are not able to facilitate bathroom visits for children.

  • Please make sure the date selected is the one you intended to book. To access other dates, click on the "Other Dates" button above that will bring up a calendar.

  • We reserve the right to cancel any program that does not get the minimum number of registrants - please sign up early as we cannot wait to have your little one join the fun!

**A late fee of $15.00 may be applied for late pick-up after 9:05pm.

We look forward to continuing to serve our longtime members and visitors while widening our scope and reach to serve even more children and families in North Carolina.

In gratitude to our member community, all active annual Kidzu memberships from the original museum will be honored for admission to the Maker's Choice experience at Boxyard until the natural expiration of the membership.

This benefit is only available to remaining holders of active Kidzu Children's Museum Annual Memberships, not members of the Nest. Memberships for The Makery @ Boxyard RTP are not currently available.
